Q: Does it need a drain in the pit? A: Yes. We highly recommend a small sump or drain. Otherwise, water from cleaning or spills can accumulate and damage the electrical components or rust the mechanism.

Q: Can a forklift drive over it? A: Generally, yes, when fully lowered. However, the platform deck must be reinforced for point loading. Please inform us if forklift traffic is expected so we can strengthen the top plate.

Q: What if the power fails? A: The lift will hold its position safely. To lower it, there is a manual emergency release valve on the power pack. Simply open the valve to bring the platform down by gravity.
